The city of Rome offers nineteen self-service bike rental stands within the ancient walls, intended for short time rentals of an hour or two. Every bike rack has a map showing the location of all the other stands. Use this map to help you plan out your biking tour. Purchase your a pre-paid ticket at one of three metro stops: Lepanto, Spagna, or Termini. Once you have a ticket, go to a bike stand and wave your ticket over the sensor that is next to your preferred bike. It will then release the bike and you will be free to go. At Piazza Popolo, Piazza Venezia, Parlamento, Piazza Colonna, Piazza Spagna, Largo Argentina, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Campo de' Fiori, San Silvestro, Sforza Cesarini, Via Tritone, S. Andrea della Vale, Via della Scrofa, Via Arenula, Oratorio, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Dell'Oro, Pontefici.The first 30 minutes are free, hourly rate €1, 61-90 minutes €2; €4 for every 30 mins after 91 minutes of use.

Barberini Scooters and Bike Rental
Conveniently located near the Barberini metro stop, the company has been serving this area since 1979. Discounted rates are given to students and those who hold ISE cards. They are open every day from 9.00 to 19.00. Your rental fee includes helmets, padlocks, windshields, maps, and rapid teaching of the mechanics of the scooter. You can rent for the day or for the week and all prices are listed online.

OnRoad Scooter & Bike Rental
Both scooter and bike rentals at two locations, conveniently located near tourist attractions, and rentals can be returned at either shop. Reservations necessary at least one day in advance. To rent a scooter, you must be a over the age of eighteen and hold a valid driver's license. All major credit cards are accepted as well as cash. English-speaking employees are available at all times. Helmets and bike locks are included with your fee and GPS navigation devices can be rented for an additional 12 Euros.

Scooter and bicycle delivery and pick up is offered at no extra cost. Scooters can be rented for as little as 11 euro an hour or 40 euro for an entire day. Bicycles start at only 10 euro a day, discounted on weekends or when rented for a longer period of time. Ride independently or join in on their easy and enjoyable scooter tours. Bicycle and scooter rentals for the time slot of your choice.
